Beautiful hike and relatively easy up to this point except for the switchbacks on Belford. Coming back up Belford from Oxford is really slow and you body is going to be disgruntled. Although you can always keep a eye out for mountain goats they frequent the area. You can return to the TH via the downclimb on Belford or a much easier and more scenic route is elkhead pass trail. it's only slightly longer and so much easier on your knees and you get to see a massive expanse of valley before seeing Missouri.
You have to climb Mt Belford to get here. Then you climb Mt Oxford, then you climb Belford again to get back. Be ready for a long day.
Easy to get to from belford but you may hate your life when you have to re summit belford to get back to your car. I recommend taking elk head pass down from belford instead. Nice view and less steep but it does add distance.
In order to reach here, you have to hike up Mount Belford. After that, you ascend Mt. Oxford, and then to go back, you ascend Belford once again. Prepare yourself for a very long day.
Beautiful canyon/valley hike and ridge traverse. There is no trail up the East side, so unless you hate nature and want to promote trampling it, I would stick to an out and back from Belford (unless you can find the South class 2 to Pine Creek which was not apparent either).
