Hunkydory Lake

Great spot to hike to. There is no trail! Topo maps or CO Trex app are very useful to find a descent ascent. Took us about 90 mins each way, 1800 vertical feet, more or less, up to 12,000 ft. Lake is amazing, plenty of flat area for camping, lots of cut throat that will hit on anything. Park on 240 and head back a little south to start the climb. Sat images will help tremendously. We skirted the trees and spent a lot of time on the rocks, once to the "top" the lake is just a little further. Probably not much more than a mile in total, but its basically straight up. Will go back!
