Hancock Pass

Mostly rocks and boulders, some steep climbs. It was rougher than we expected because it's supposed to be a moderate trail, but definitely has some tricky spots. Hard to tell from pics and videos. We were able to do it without a problem and only saw a couple of other people going up this pass from St Elmo. Thank goodness no one was coming from the opposite direction. Alpine Tunnel still closed. Definitely an adventurous trail.

Great trail overall. I went north to south and the first mile or two is pretty annoying with it's constant small boulder rock garden. Things smooth out after that and the views kept getting better. I'd rate it at the harder end of easy because there aren't any large features your vehicle will need to get over it's just the slow rocky section that would require special attention if you're vehicle isn't very capable.

The most fun trail on the Miners Loop! Definitely gets more technical the closer you get to the top (coming from the Pitkin side). Did the other passes in 2wd. Had to go into 4WD for this section. If you can only do one Pass, make it this one!

This place was breathtaking.. worth the drive up if you have the right vehicle.. Really gives you perspective. If you have a chance to go up this trail, don't pass it up. :)
