Fooses Lake

Great secluded trout fishing spot.

Beautiful lil lake and has big trout...

This is a gem of a mid-elevation mountain lake. Good accessibility, decent parking, and a restroom facility. (There is a campground just beyond the lake.) The lake is not too big with a steady stream flowing in and out. It was a great place to re-learn my fly-fishing skills. The little lake is well stocked, and my wife pulled out about a dozen of them during our half-day trip--which sure beat my number! 😉

Small man made pond with stocked trout. Not the most natural fishing experience, but your almost guaranteed to catch something. Unless you’re just there at the wrong time(or just doing it wrong).
