Cascade Canyon

Beautiful trees, scenery, and the flowing water. The river is flowing at a good pace, producing amazing sounds in the woods. I visited the Canyon as part of our Durango Silverton rail road trip. It was an amazing experience. I visited during the Thanksgiving week. If you are visiting in the winter, then I would recommend you to leave the place before sunset because it becomes too cold as soon as the sun goes down.

Absolutely worth the trip and hike! The falls is a easy hike and not very far at all.

Agnes Vaille Falls Trail is an excellent easy short hike. Only a distant view of the falls at the very top, but it's worth it. The interpretive signs along the way are interesting as well.

Nice short hike with a waterfall view at the overlook. Can also go off trail to see the waterfall up close
